Brands on the Street:
- Definitely Apple
- The clothes are just kind of random
- I usually carry an LV (Louis Vuitton) wallet with me
But I am not too into name brands or carrying around branded things.
Impact on Society
Louis Vuitton- um, I mean, I don’t really have any idea but I don’t think they are associated with any negative activity when it comes to impact on society.
Apple- I may have read articles about factory conditions overseas, right? Other than that I think they are a very reliable brand. They make good things.
Does shared value drive any other of your purchasing decisions?
Yeah so, I have a friend that has a sunglasses brand called, A Better Outlook.
The actually donate a portion of their revenue to different causes. Also, when you buy a pair they give you a second pair so they are really a brand that encourages giving.
I own a pair. I don’t always wear sunglasses but I always have them with me.
Would you switch to a brand that was just as good but that offered more shared value?
Yes, definitely. Even cosmetics, during October they may have the pink ribbon branded merchandise. I am not sure I would actually buy that, but it has a special place. It makes you take notice and pay attention.
Aside from purchasing decisions, is there any way you personally try to do good in the world?
Unfortunately not.
