Brands on the Street:

  • Kate Spade
  • Banana Republic
  • Gap Body
  • Calvin Klein

Why these brands?

Gap Body

The Gap Body item I wear because they come in a pack, five for thirty dollars (or something like that). I think they are really pretty and I know they will always fit really well.

Kate Spade

I don’t really feel strongly about it (the brand). It is my bag and it works well; it is a good size.

Are you aware of any “shared value” imparted by these brands?

I would imagine that Gap does. (while we don’t know of Shared Value programs, Gap does a great many things for the community including donation match with their employees and extensive corporate responsibility programs, go Gap!)

Did shared value drive these purchasing decisions in any way?

No. If I want something bad enough I will just buy it. That is the bottom line.

Aside from purchasing decisions, is there any way you personally try to do good in the world?

I am part of the volunteer group at Yelp
