Brands on the Street:

  • Honey Punch
  • Urban Outfitters
  • Gap
  • Franco Sarto
  • Marc Jacobs

Why these brands?

I really like my Marc Jacob watch and Franco Sarto shoes. They are “staple-products”.

Are you aware of any “shared value” imparted by these brands?

I am not aware of any, no.

Would you switch to a brand that was just as good but that offered more shared value?

Absolutely, but I think it is more common with, ya know buying coffee (we are not so sure about THAT Christine)

Does shared value drive any other of your purchasing decisions?

So there is this coffee called Grounds For Hounds (it is actually Grounds & Hounds, but we appreciate the tip, we will add it to our list of brands we have discovered). Every pound of coffee that you buy, they donate a certain amount of money to dogs, in the pounds so they can get adopted.

Aside from purchasing decisions, is there any way you personally try to do good in the world?

I follow a lot of Tilt campaigns. I used to be a member of a crowdfunding website.
