“I have tons of time but not a lot of money”

Here at BotS we get our fair share of rejection. After all, not everyone has time or wants to share personal information with us–but sometimes we meet someone who does not mind sharing, they just want to remain anonymous. “Karl”, we thank you for sharing!

Name: “Karl”

Age: 31

Works for: Marketing Technology Product Manager

Lives in: San Francisco

How was it?

Brands on the Street:

  • J Crew
  • Onassis Jeans
  • Happy Feet Socks
  • Timex Watch
  • Ralph Lauren Polo

Why these brands?

Purely aesthetics, not for any social good or any other reason. I have no affinity for Polo, I just like these glasses.

Are you aware of any “shared value” imparted by these brands?

I don’t think any of them are.

Did shared value drive these purchasing decisions in any way?

I do like Warby and I have a bunch of pairs of Tom’s shoes.

Aside from purchasing decisions, is there any way you personally try to do good in the world?

Tons of charities. I have time but not tons of money at this point so, I largely donate my time.
