Brands on the Street:

  • H&M (probably)
  • Hanes (maybe)
  • Zara (noticed after looking)

Why these brands?

I don’t feel passion for any of these brands. I like them because they are cheap!

Are you aware of any “shared value” imparted by these brands?

do you mean…yes! I just bought a shirt from H&M; H&M Green (or something?). It is all about sustainable linens…

We think that this is what he was talking about.

Though there has been some speculation over the years.

Did shared value drive these purchasing decisions in any way?

I looked at it, it was cheap (but still more expensive than the other thing) and I was like, it is worth it I guess and I am doing it for a good cause. I think it is good branding/marketing…it is like Whole Foods.

Aside from purchasing decisions, is there any way you personally try to do good in the world?

I am pretty into the corporate social responsibility space. I majored in environmentalism and I am into human rights.
