They’re very inclusive as it relates to people of color and disabilities

Name: Ashley

Age: 25

Job: West LA College

Living in: Koreatown

Last TV show seen: The Big Bang Theory. It was funny.

Main source of news: Social media

I’m wearing: Old Navy, Nike, Forever 21, and Vera Bradley

Why those brands specifically?

Their quality of clothes and their price. They’re affordable and of good quality.

Do you know any brands that give back to the community?

This soap called The Good Soap (editors note: we looked it up, it is just called Good Soap). I know their profits go to kids who are in need. I think it’s in Africa, or one of those countries.

Abercrombie and Fitch. I think they’re very inclusive from the little that I’ve read. They’re very inclusive as it relates to people of color and disabilities. I think I’ve read an article where they’re just very passionate about inclusion.

Do you know any brands that ever harm the community?

Yeah, one. The Nike brand. Negative. I think a lot of youths, they live for the brand so they’ll do anything just to purchase the brand. They’ll go all out for the brand, just to fit in and not be bullied by others.

What do you do to give back to your community?

I take trips to countries like Jamaica, and I always give back there. I’m from there. I work with adults and kids of special needs. I’ve been doing it for over 4 years. I’m just not a fan of injustice, so I try my best to help out as best as I can.
