Brands on the Street:

  • Adidas Shoes
  • Levi’s Jeans
  • Hanes Socks

Why these brands?

I guess I like Adidas shoes, I usually buy those but that is all.

Impact on Society

  • Adidas: probably neutral
  • Levi’s: they are probably good for San Francisco because they are local but that is probably it

Are you aware of any “shared value” imparted by these brands?

I have heard of those types of programs, I am not wearing anything like that and I could not tell you of any brands in particular

Would you switch to a brand that was just as good but that offered more shared value?

Yeah sure. I suppose it is important to know what type of material clothes are and who is producing them because many times the producing companies have questionable worker and labor laws. Those things are likely important to consumers.

Aside from purchasing decisions, is there any way you personally try to do good in the world?

Not particularly. There is no one charity, no.
